Dr. Piyush Borkhatariya has spent over 13 years in clinical practice listening, diagnosing, treating, and most importantly, understanding skin the way only someone who has dedicated their life to it truly can. His work spans the full breadth of dermatology: from complex skin conditions and hair loss treatment to advanced laser therapies. But what has stayed constant through all of it is a quality that no degree can teach: genuine curiosity about the person sitting in front of him, and a quiet determination to actually help.

Dr. Piyush completed his MD in Skin & Venereal Diseases a rigorous, science-first qualification that shaped the way he thinks about skincare to this day. For him, a formulation is not a marketing exercise. It is a clinical decision. Every ingredient must earn its place, every claim must be grounded in evidence, and every product must be safe enough to recommend to a patient.
Over 13 years of active practice, he has treated thousands of patients across a wide spectrum of concerns, including acne and hyperpigmentation, premature ageing, hair thinning, uneven skin tone, post-procedure recovery, and more. That depth of clinical exposure gives him something that most skincare founders simply do not have: a real, unfiltered understanding of what Indian skin actually needs, not what the industry assumes it does.
His expertise spans three distinct disciplines:

Why He Founded Esthe Essentials
The idea for Esthe Essentials did not arrive as a business plan. It arrived as a frustration.
Year after year, patient after patient, Dr. Piyush kept encountering the same problem: people were spending money on skincare that simply was not working. Not because they were doing anything wrong - but because so much of what was available on the market was either too harsh, too vague about its ingredients, or simply not formulated with Indian skin as the starting point.
Indian skin is beautifully diverse. It spans a wide range of tones, reacts differently to humidity and pollution, and carries its own set of common concerns - pigmentation, sun damage, post-inflammatory marks, oiliness in monsoon and dryness in winter. Yet the vast majority of skincare products available in India were designed elsewhere, for someone else.
